Nutrition Coaching for People Who Don't Have Time to Meal Prep on Sundays

Most nutrition advice online assumes you have two free hours on a Sunday, a fully stocked kitchen, and a work schedule with no surprises. If that's not your life — client dinners, late meetings, travel, takeaway on the nights you're too drained to cook — generic meal plans were never going to work for you. That doesn't mean nutrition coaching isn't for you. It means you need a different approach.

Why Most Nutrition Plans Fail Busy Professionals

I've had clients come to me having already tried MyFitnessPal, a rigid macro plan, or a meal delivery service — and it worked for two, maybe three weeks. Not because they lacked discipline. Because the plan assumed a version of their week that didn't exist. A plan you can't sustain past a fortnight isn't a nutrition plan — it's a countdown to giving up.

What Actually Works: Building Around Your Real Week, Not an Ideal One

1. Start with your calendar, not your macros. Before I write a single nutrition guideline, I want to know your actual week — which days you're in back-to-back meetings, when you eat out for work, when you're travelling. The plan gets built around that, not the other way round.

2. A small number of flexible principles beat a rigid meal-by-meal plan. Instead of "eat exactly this at 1pm," clients get a handful of simple, repeatable principles — protein at every meal, a rough portion framework, and a short list of default options for the days that go sideways. It's far easier to follow three rules than track forty grams of everything.

3. Client dinners and takeaways get planned for, not punished. You're going to eat out. You're going to have the odd night where cooking isn't happening. The plan should account for that in advance, not treat it as a "failure" that derails the week.

4. Consistency over perfection, always. The client who eats reasonably well 80% of the time, every week, will out-transform the client who eats "perfectly" for ten days and then abandons the plan entirely after one bad week. I'd rather build you a plan you'll actually follow at 75% than a perfect one you'll follow for a fortnight.

How This Fits Into Coaching (Not Just a PDF)

Nutrition guidance on its own, without accountability, has a shelf life — most people know roughly what they should be eating, and still don't do it consistently. That's why nutrition isn't a one-off document in my programme — it's reviewed and adjusted every week alongside your training, based on real progress (photos, measurements, energy levels), not just the scale.

What Clients Notice First

Less bloating, more consistent energy through the afternoon (no more 3pm crash), and — maybe the most underrated win — actually feeling in control around food again instead of white-knuckling it or swinging between "on plan" and "off plan."

If Food Is Where You Keep Getting Stuck

Training is only half the equation — for most of my Archway and Highgate clients, nutrition is where fat loss actually gets won or lost. If you want a plan built around your real week instead of an idealised one, let's talk it through.
